Douglas started his DJing journey back in 2021 after an extended trip to a music festival. Firefly music festival to be exact. The parties in the campground called to him to bring something fun to the mix so through some creativity and crafts, a dj board was fashioned out of an empty angry orchard 12-pack. The cardboard dj board was a hit and drew many laughs. After 3 days of djing on cardboard it was time to leave the festival, however, the thought came to Douglas that he would be doing a great disservice to himself if he did not pursue this venture for real.

From that point forward, Douglas started slowly acquiring the necessary gear and knowledge to be able to perform live as a dj with his first paid coming in February of 2022 (at White Horse Pub in Oaklyn, NJ). He improved his skills over time by taking an online djing course, sought guidance through other knowledgeable experts and practiced constantly. Since then Douglas has been booked regularly in the bar and club scene at places throughout the Philadelphia area, such as Xfinity Live!, Con Murphy’s, City Tap House, and many more. 

Douglas enjoys djing in the bar and club scene but he has a much greater appreciation when he gets to be a part of a special event. Weddings, bar mitzvahs, sweet 16’s, graduation parties and more are all important milestones in one’s life and are great times to celebrate a coming-of-age moment. Douglas really enjoys helping to create memories that last a lifetime. Even if the memory of who curated the music and lighting for that special night fades, it is still an honor. With professionalism, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to any circumstance in real time, Douglas is guaranteed to make any special event a fond memory that lasts a lifetime.
